Job Description:
90% Greets and assists all visitors to the Football Operations Facility, as well as screen all telephone calls and route calls or take messages for all football personnel. Liaison between football staff and coaches and the public. The phones in the football office play a major role in the recruiting process of the prospective athlete. Should a recruit place a call to a coach, the incumbent must insure the call is transferred correctly if the coach is in to take the call or take a message and insure the coach receives the message promptly. When coaches are traveling, the incumbent must assist the coach whenever possible, i.e., relaying any telephone messages, assisting with changes in travel plans, etc. Controls all access to the Head Coach and Assistant Coaches. Assists the Executive Assistant to the Head Football Coach with daily tasks and assignments such as scheduling meetings, composing correspondence, follow up on requests for memorabilia of players/coaches, etc; Assists in managing and scheduling of student-workers in the Head Coaches office; Reviews and prioritizes mail for the department; Assist in an administrative role on all special events associated with game days, including pregame and postgame, special dinners with the Head Coach, football banquets and social events for the Head Coach's office; Assists with data input and updates of all current student athletes in the Football program. Serves as administrative assistant to the Assistant AD/Strength and Conditioning.
10% Act in place of the Executive Assistant to the Head Football Coach when she is absent; Assists in an administrative role in the daily operations of the Gridiron Club and other support systems for Football program; Other duties as assigned by the Executive Assistant to the Head Football Coach.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree.
Special or Physical Qualifications: Ability to work extended days and weekends.
