What we're looking for: We are seeking a motivated professional responsible for managing daily operations in the RadioGraphics editorial office in Phoenix, AZ. The Editorial Administrative Assistant will assist the Editor in schedule management and travel arrangement, process journal submissions, and support Editor and Peer Review staff in accomplishing journal goals.

What you'll do:
- Manage daily office operations, including ordering and maintaining office equipment and supplies, handling incoming and outgoing mail and telephone queries, establishing and maintaining files, and reviewing and forwarding invoices to RSNA Oak Brook. Facilitate logistics for visitors or functions in the office
- Provide administrative support to the Editor, including but not limited to assistance with meeting and appointment scheduling, travel arrangements, internal and external communications, processing of expense reports, and preparation of reports and presentations
- Prepare agendas, attendance polls, and materials for RadioGraphics meetings as requested by the Editor. Attend meetings to take notes and send follow-up material as needed
- Set up new manuscripts in the peer review system and send out invitations to authors to submit
- Check journal submissions (original and revised) to ensure all files for format compliance, verify the presence of the necessary forms and permissions, and correspond with authors as necessary to obtain needed information
- Assign and invite reviewers to manuscripts. Track completed reviews, and send reminder and follow-up communication when needed
- Act as the main point of contact for authors, reviewers, and editorial board members regarding RadioGraphics Monitor RadioGraphics e-mail box daily and responds to all inquiries in a timely manner
- Assist Peer Review staff with logistics for the Annual Meeting, including reserving rooms and food and beverage orders. Also assist in the set up and testing of the exhibit review system prior to meeting
- Work in the on-site Editorial Office during RSNA Annual Meetings (in Chicago), assisting Editor, Editorial Board Members, panelists, and other attendees as necessary
What you'll need:
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook required
- Comfort in learning complex manuscript management system, experience with ScholarOne Manuscripts a plus
- Able to work independently and meet deadlines
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Preference will be given to individuals with previous administrative experience
